Here’s a brief update on recent milestones from our teaching team – Emily Bitto, Sophie Cunningham and Emily O’Grady

Congratulations to Emily Bitto whose second novel, Wild Abandon (Allen & Unwin) has been longlisted for the 2022 Margaret and Colin Roderick Literary Award.

Sophie Cunningham’s forthcoming novel The Devastating Fever (Ultimo Press) is due to be published in September. Described by the publisher as ‘a dazzlingly original novel about what it’s like to live through a time that feels like the end of days, and how we can find comfort and answers in the past.​’

Emily O’Grady is one of five writers who have won Griffith Review’s Emerging Voices competition in 2022. Emily was recognised for her story Colour Theory. The competition is supported by the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund.
