Kirsten Alexander

Kirsten Alexander is a writer, editor and copywriter. She lives in Melbourne with her two sons. Her editing and writing experience spans print, online and radio. She has worked in-house as an editor for companies including Text, D.W. Thorpe, Reed and Random House, and freelanced for others. She was in-house copywriter for Aesop for four years, and freelanced for Crumpler, Goodies Food Group, The Royals and others. In addition, she has been a magazine subeditor and article writer, website content manager and occasional reviewer for the ABC Book Show.

Kirsten initiated, commissioned for, edited and produced the three volumes of digital journal Open Field. And founded and near-launched the online short story site Storymart. She studied at Queensland University, the London College of Communication and the Banff Centre for Creativity.

Kirsten is the author of two novels, both published by Penguin Random House Australia: Half Moon Lake (2019, a NYT bestseller) and Riptides (2020). Her third novel is currently with an agent.
