Editorial Support

Our Editorial Support programs are designed to help writers complete and polish their work to the highest professional standard before hitting ‘submit’.

On Demand Editing: Fiction and Nonfiction

This support service comprises an initial copy-edit, a face-to-face meeting with your editor to give feedback on your writing and any issues within the work, and, a final edit to ensure your work is presented to a polished and professional standard.

We offer two tiers. The first is designed to support writers planning to submit essays or stories up to 3,000 words for publication or in competition. The second is an opportunity to have your complete manuscript (up to 60,000 words) copy-edited by a professional editor at Allen & Unwin, Australia’s leading independent publisher.

Author-to-Author
Mentorship and Editorial Program

This editorial support program provides writers with fortnightly one-to-one consultations with an experienced, published author to project plan a fiction or nonfiction work.

The consultations are designed to support writers in analysing and resolving problems within their work, and to create an accountable action plan including fortnightly submissions and rolling feedback. Participants also receive two rounds of edits on a 3,000 word piece.

Our experienced mentors include: Ceridwen Dovey, Mireille Juchau, Harrison Christian or Lauren Aimee Curtis
