We are pleased to announce a new merit award for graduates of our 2023 – 2025 Writing a Novel, Stay the Course, Edit & Submit Your Novel, and Advanced Novel Workshop programs: the FWA ALUMNI AWARD.
The award will offer six outstanding submission-ready graduates the opportunity to pitch their novels to UK literary agents at one of three industry days organised by the Faber Academy, UK, in April, July and October 2025.
Recipients will also have the opportunity to:
1. Submit a cover letter and have the first five pages of their manuscript read by one of Allen & Unwin’s publishers.
2. Have a cover letter and first three chapters read by one of three Australian literary agents, followed up by a one-on-one consultation.
This is an exciting opportunity in which the FWA is committed to providing their most exceptional students three opportunities to advance their manuscripts towards publication.
The award will be judged by the FWA team.
