Course fee: $295

This effective one-day workshop offers very specific ideas and techniques to ensure that your writing experiences are immediately more rewarding. We are often dependent on others affirming that our writing is ‘worthwhile’. Yet the insights that writing can bring us, and the deep satisfactions of writing ‘more and better’, are rewards that only the writer can give to him or herself – especially through releasing greater fluency and pleasure in writing, and working creatively with obstacles as well as your most inspired and imaginative ideas.

Dr Stephanie Dowrick is one of our most experienced and successful tutors and is offering this workshop to writers relatively new to writing practice and to long-published writers seeking renewed freshness and depth of inspiration. The day will be highly experiential with teaching, exercises, discussion and lively experimentation. Stephanie will focus on the benefits of varied forms of free associative writing to support your creativity and self-understanding, and to generate a new depth of fluency and commitment to your writing practice. She will also share the practices of overcoming obstacles and of ‘deep seeing’ that have been transformative for so many of her writing students, using them to prompt ever-increasing writing rewards. Participants must come ready to write responsively and freely on the day, in an atmosphere of rare encouragement and positive discovery.

The course includes:
• A full day's intensive tuition from 10am - 4pm
• Lunch and regular tea and coffee breaks
• A complimentary copy of a recent A&U publication

There are limited places available on this course. Book soon to avoid disappointment.
