This one-day masterclass is for writers who need assistance and encouragement to get their manuscript to the completion stage.

The day will cover issues such as: keeping the book alive, finding patterns and resonances, reading like a reader and the true ending.

This workshop is ideal for those who have been working on a book for some time or feel they are ‘stuck’ and not progressing with their manuscript.

The workshop includes:
• One full day’s intensive tuition from 10am - 4pm
• Lunch and regular tea and coffee breaks

• A complimentary copy of a recent A&U publication

About the tutor

Carrie Tiffany was born in West Yorkshire and grew up in Western Australia. Her first novel, Everyman’s Rules for Scientific Living, was shortlisted for the Orange Prize, the Miles Franklin Literary Award, the Guardian First Book Award and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, and won the Dobbie Award for Best First Book and the WA Premier’s Award for Fiction. Her second novel, Mateship with Birds, was also shortlisted for many awards and won the inaugural Stella Prize in 2013 and the Christina Stead Prize for Fiction in the New South Wales Premier’s Literary Awards.

Carrie is an experienced writing teacher and taught Faber Writing Academy’s Writing a Novel course for many years before moving overseas.
